Adult birds from an aviary or pet shops will be nearly impossible to tame. So purchase from a breeder - not from a pet shop. The second factor is that they need a lot of handling and time spent with them to keep them tame.
If you get your lovebird from the shop, you cannot be exactly sure when it is born.
Also, there are simply too many lovebirds for the owners of shops to take care of because most of them would have hundreds of other birds at hand. Thus many of the birds you get from bird shops may carry diseases past from other birds. These diseases may not be life-threatening but may pose a problem months to years down the road.
Here, we are committed to ONLY lovebirds and nothing else. We are specialists.
